每年一度的蒙特利尔博物馆日从1987年开办，到今年已是第31届了！30年来，有的博物馆经历了新开和重建及扩建；有的博物馆则被合并，被关闭。
到第31届博物馆日的时候，一个城市还有30多所博物馆参加这一重大免费的公众活动，实属不易。
蒙特利尔作为一个历史悠久的现代城市，众多的博物馆对历史文化的保护传承及教育都有着深远的影响。

今年正值蒙特利尔建城375周年，这次的博物馆日也很特别，不仅博物馆数量是历来最多的，共有40多家可让免费参观，也新增了很多特别的活动。
如何更好地参与博物馆日呢？建议：
1）提前计划，按照家庭成员，特别是孩子的年龄兴趣来设计路线。30多个博物馆，不可能都走到，最多能走两至三条路线。
2）带好备用物品：包括简单食物，水；防晒霜等，如阴天，带伞；手机，ipad等，在排队时可以让孩子不太无聊。

Take advantage of Montréal Museums Day to visit the Biodôme and the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium. Both of these Space for Life institutions will be open to the public free of charge. Follow the STM’s blue bus route or take the métro to Viau.

At the Montréal Biodôme
Travel through the Americas as you explore 5 ecosystems.

At the Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium
Explore exobiology at the Exo: Our Search for Life in the Universe permanent exhibition and special activities.

A flagship event for the Board of Montréal Museum Directors, Montreal Museums Day is a must every year for thousands of Montrealers, as well as for tourists visiting the city.

* Please note that admission to the Montréal Botanical Garden and Insectarium is not free.

Apart from no admission cost, there will be free shuttles to bring visitors to participating museums and it will be free to use BIXI bikes all day.

Join Jeanne Mance and Paul de Chomedy, Sieur de Maisonneuve, and hear their stories about how they founded Montréal in 1642. Have a picture taken with them in our Photomaton!

Fusiliers Mont-Royal performance 1p.m.
Did you know that Wilfrid Pelletier was a Fusilier and one of the founders of Montréal's first symphonic orchestra? Enjoy the sounds of the Fusilier's drum and bugles.
