P1738 HONDA - Problem in 2nd Clutch Pressure Switch Circuit

The second clutch pressure switch in the transmission has an issue. There is a test to perform to make sure the engine's processor is not at fault, or a wiring issue. Then, if the test suggests it, you could replace the 2nd clutch pressure switch. This can be done externally. It does not appear to be terribly expensive, less than $200 perhaps.

My only concern is that the code could be masking an internal problem, and that even with replacement of the switch, if that's what it ends up being, there could still be an internal concern that will require internal repair or replacement. So, do use caution.

DTC P1738 = 2nd clutch Presssure switch.

It is a fault in the transmission system and cost would depend on what is at fault. It could be a loose wire connection, faulty pressure switch or even a faulty PCM.

You should be having problem with gear shifting correctly.
