SAMITO
Singing his visionary lyrics in Portuguese, French, English and Xitswa, Samito incisively offers political criticism and tales of his childhood in Mozambique. 2015-2016 Révélation Radio-Canada in world music, he explores acoustic and electric sounds, fusing ancient melodies with techno grooves and masterfully creating incomparable textures.







POPA CHUBBY
Hailing from the Bronx, this singular character sings the blues and handles a guitar with the skill that, decades back, took him from playing subway platforms to spearheading the New York neo-blues scene. His fiercely urban hard blues is occasionally laced with a touch of funk and rock that leaves the cotton plantation far behind.






MARIACHI FLOR DE TOLOACHE
Named for the legendary Toloache flower still used in Mexican love potions, this unique all-female mariachi band is conquering the globe with their update of traditional Mexican music, earning them a Latin Grammy nomination in 2015. Their original costumes and ambience come straight from the land of tequila; make way for the mariachi ladies!
